The Fifth Meeting of the 2025–2026 Session of Parliament will begin at 2:00pm on Wednesday, 29 April 2026, in the House of Parliament. Members will consider national priorities, including key legislation, policy matters and governance issues.

Parliament to Convene Final Meeting of 2025-2026 Session on 29 April
The Speaker of Parliament, Hon. D. Ezzard Miller, notified Members of Parliament (MPs) that the Fifth Meeting of the 2025-2026 Session will commence at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.
Publications (Bills, Reports, and other Documents)
Airports Authority (Amendment) Bill 2026 (LG18, S1)
This Bill amends the Airports Authority Act (2005 Revision) to empower approved officers of the Cayman Islands Airport Authority to control access to and conduct inspections of vehicles within designated airport operational zones.
Key Provisions:

Defines the key terms used in the Bill, specifically for “approved officers”, “criminal conduct” and “designated airport security zone”, providing clarity and strengthening application of the measures prescribed.

Outlines the powers and duties of approved officers to stop vehicles, carry out inspections and act if they have reasonable grounds to suspect that a person or vehicle presents a threat to airport security.

Modernises the language used, substituting terms like “Law” with “Act”, and replacing Roman numerals with Arabic numerals.
