Quincentennial Square is made up of two areas; Heroes Square (in front of the courthouse) and Celebration Park (courthouse parking lot during the day). They were opened in 2003 as part of the Quincentenial Celebrations to create a central public area in the heart of George Town that the community could use to celebrate their history and cultural icons, as well as a community space for public events on evenings and weekends. Heroes Square is a sacred area that should only be used for formal National events in relation to the celebration of our country and national icons through memorial services and formal ceremonies.

People are invited to visit the park at anytime and flowers may be laid at any of the monuments. Celebration Park may be used for Public gatherings and performances from 6:00 pm – midnight from Monday to Friday and 7:00 am – midnight on Saturday and Sunday - all by prior arrangement and approval.
